mbp 17" beep

hi i only have my new mbp 17" two weeks now and i have noticed a beep. it happens a few times a day. it sounds like it coming from the left side off the mbp. what could this be

Check for leprechauns, they like to hide in our shiny MacBooks and annoy us with their beeping beeps!

It could be wifi connecting. I don't know why but on my gf's macbook whenever she connects to wifi she gets this almost Casio watch type digital BEEP.

No idea why.
