MBP 17" i7 Internal Mic Problem

Just guy my 17" i7 500GB 7200rpm MBP machine a few days ago... it's great.

However, my internal mic is having some major problems. The sound quality from it is just awful.

It sounds like it is barely picking up my voice and it is just getting static and other strange sounds.

Does anybody else have this problem with the MacBook Pro?

Do you think I should contact Apple?

I keep getting the same comments whenever I use voip on my 17" i7 -- how poor the sound is. I will have to do some testing to confirm but I think you're onto something.
