Recently migrated from HDD TO SSD, using a Samsung 840 EVO 500GB. Trim is enabled, and Samsung firmware is up to date. Also upgraded memory to 16 GB. Everything worked well except I am now noticing 2 new problems:
1. Choppy video playback. Watching online movies definitely is less smooth, with lots of frozen video frames while sound track moves on. This is new after the SSD install.
2. Battery drain is accelerated, instead of extended. You would think that this would be the opposite, with no moving parts in the SSD.

I've opened a support case with Samsung (Mon. - Fri.) and waiting to hear back.

Has anyone seen and addressed this problem? Thank you.
