MBP 17" RAM speed

folks i need quick confirmation that this is correct

i got screenshot of i7 2.4 mbp 17" late 2011 with 16 GB 1600MHZ ram - is that correct ? - thats the screenshot of "about this mac" window

i thought they only took the 1333 speed

i think you are right, 17" are 1333 or less than 2012 1600mhz.

Yeah, it supports up to 1600. If i remember correctly, Doward is using 1600 for his 17".

Never knew that the late 2011's supported up to 1600 until last week when Doward posted his specs.

Early 2011 17in can run 1600MHz as well so Im guessing that late models can.
