My MBP went to sleep at work y'day as the battery went low. Today (with charger plugged in) i press the keys but no wake. I pressed the cap lock, this usually shows green, this time nothing. So i think the battery is completely dead.

So I pull the battery pout, and plug int he power lead, try hitting the power up button, nothing. It makes a small whirl noise but thats it. No power up.

I insert a OSX installation disc in the drive. Hot the power button with C held down. Nothing.

Tried holding the power button down for 5 secs to hard shut. It makes a sound from the CD drive bay likes its trying to access it but nothing else, no start up.

Even tried the Command + ctrl + on button to do a hard reset, nothing.

Any ideas to get this going?

Is the MagSafe charger led lit up? Orange while charging, Green fully charged. If not it may be the cable/power adapter.

Its orange, so assume its powering up the battery.

The weird thing is,, many times before. the caps would show green if tapped. Not this time
