I am about to purchase a new MBP going from a 2007 one to a new one. I am heavy on media, streaming stuff over the network, and the heaviest thing i do is minor video editing and photoshop work. Is it worth the extra money for the 2.2 one? or will i be fine with 2.0. And i plan on having this computer for a long time.:apple::apple:

The biggest difference between the 2.0 and the 2.2 is not the processor but the graphics card, while you will hardly notice the difference between the processors but the difference between the graphics cards is phenomenal. So if any of your work is graphically demanding or intensive then i recommend the 2.2 if it is not then the 2.0 is gonna be fine.

If you are only going to focus on the processor itself, you won't see any difference (however, you'll see a huge improvement because you are going from Core 2 Duo to Core-i processors.)

The 2.0 should serve you well. Unless you're gaming or doing some intense 3D graphics work, I'd save the money and go 2.0.

The 2.2 overall is looking better and better

the processor dont matter for crap

its the differnece between graphics card

so if ur REALLY into graphic editing with videos and stuff, then yes u will notice some difference.

if ur doing graphic stuff lightly, than u my as well save a few hundred dollars

Now the question is hi res screen? Antiglare or regular? I like how my current 2007 MacBook has the antiglare screen.

Actually benchmarks prove better results on the 2.2 compared to the 2.0. The 2.3 is where it doesn't matter because it only beats the 2.2ghz by a little.

I'd recommend the 2.2ghz and 4gb ram if you want more ram upgrade through newegg since it's a heck of a lot cheaper and you can get better RAM.
