Hello all,

I broke the charger to my MBP mid 2010 13". I cannot justify spending $80 on a new one that Apple wants. I see a ton of generic ones on Amazon for $17-$25. Can someone tell me if this will work with my MBP? It does not have to be a long term solution as I plan on upgrading at some point this year when the line gets refreshed. So i'm not concerned about the charger lasting for years. Long enough for me to pull some data off the laptop and maybe use it for a couple more months.

Anyways, these are the ones I found.

Will either of these fit/work?

I would look on craigslist or ebay for a used apple charger. Some of these offbrand chargers may do more harm to your computer.

Amazon and ebay have perfectly safe chargers fir as lityle as $6.00.

Hmmm - like the knock-off iPhone charger that electrocuted that Chinese woman a couple of years ago?

Not sure how anyone is qualified to state "perfectly safe" on an electrical item they haven't seen???
