MBP 2010 17" LCD on and off after Sierra upgrade

Hello, I upgraded my MBP 2010 17" to Sierra last night. My computer was in my bedroom. I noticed that even I did not move, the screen was turned on and then off and repeated. Is this normal?

Before the upgrade, I had the feeling that when I walked near the machine, the LCD screen got turned on.

If you mean that the screen went on and off a few times during the upgrade process: Yes, this is normal.

If you mean that the screen goes on and off repeatedly now that Sierra is up and running: This is not normal.

So: which do you mean?

The latter. I put the MBP to sleep mode before I went to bed last night. This issue did not happen. I think it happens when I just leave the machine on before I go to bed. Will do some more testings.
