i want to upgrade but i want to know how much better it is. the cheapest mbp 2010 model vs the cheapest 2012 model. please explain all the specs to me because i dont understand what all this hardware stuff does thanks. like on my mbp 2010 i can only play minecraft at good settings and WoW on the lowest settings.

is the cheapest 2012 any different gamewise? i wonder if i can play diablo on that one?? id like to know all the differences thanks

13 in models btw

Sorry for the confusion, I completely missed the 13” part of that statement… you will see some pretty decent performance gains with the i5 compared to the C2D, as well as the HD4000 compared to the 320M, just search around the forums for difference between HD4000 (2012 model) and 320M (2010 model)

The 2012 MacBook Pro would have the following advantages
-Quad Core CPU (not to mention i7 over i5 in the base 2010)
—this will help with more intensive work such as video encoding, photo editing, and such, possibly some advantage to gaming.
-Superior Graphics Card with the 650m with 512MB GDDR5 RAM(compared to your 330m with 256MB GDDR3 RAM I believe)
— this is where you will see quite some improvement with your gaming, I personally do not own a 2012 model, but a quick search on the forums should show some gameplay stats and such.
-better integrated Graphics as well with the HD 4000 (more for daily use and battery savings compared to gaming, in which you would use the dedicated GPU)

thats really about it, you get slightly faster RAM, 1600MHz compared to 1333MHz, but that would hardly be noticeable.
thanks alot this really helped ! :D
