Hi,
First of all, sorry for my English, I'm French. I searched about my "problem" but I didn't find a precise answer.
I've got a new Macbook Pro 13", early 2011. And I'd like to buy a SSD, I read that OWC makes good ones and is "Mac friendly".
The prices of a 6G SSD and a 3G SSD are quite similar. But I know about all the issues with Sata3 and the new MBP. The Superdrive connection is SATA3.
On the OWC's blog, they say that a OWC 6G SSD works perfectly in the main HDD bay and also in the optical bay of the 13" Macbook Pro (and only this one). On the web some people are complaining about issues with the same MBP, but they haven't got a OWC SSD.
So do you think it will work if I put the SSD in the Data Doubler ? I don't want to put it in the main bay, I'm afraid the vibrations of the "classic" hard drive (in the Data Doubler) will damage the motherboard.
Thank you !
