mbp 2011 do not go to full sleep when power adapter is plugged in w/ lid closed?

I just started to notice that if I have power adapater plugged into mbp and close the lid, when I come back later to check the mbp, it's still hot.

When I open the lid, it comes on almost right away as if it never went to sleep

Does anyone else experince the samething here?

Hmm thanks.

Using mroogle is hit or miss. This is what I put in.

"mroogle mbp 2011 does not sleep when lid gets closed" which was more specific question to my case so next time I will try more general approach.

As to answer provided by apple.com, it is pretty useless.
Why? I think by default, if lid is closed, laptop should go to sleep regardless.
I don't like heat from the laptop going straight into the beautiful screen.
