As per the title, I had older 1333 Mhz DDR3 memory laying about and i didnt want to buy the new 1600 memory, so i installed the old one and fired up the macbook and voila !!! she works ;) To be specific i installed Corsair 2 x 4GB DDR3 - 1333 Mhz memory :)

I also installed a DVD to HDD adapter instead of the DVD burner so i can confirm that those models from ebay will happily still fit in the new macbook too ;)

2 x 4GB or 2 x 8GB? Seeing as it already ships with 2 x 4GB.

edit: nevermind, 13" not 15".

It'll work fine, just a little slower than stock.
