Dear all,

I have a MBP mid 2012 which is running normally only with the power cable connected. The battery is not regognized by SMC so therefore it cannot be charged. The voltage level indicator had a short cut on the i2c sda and scl lines so I removed it. Now on both lines I have about 3.4v level. There is no short to gnd or vdd anymore. I just see on the i2c scl line that a clock is there but an i2c sda signal is missing. I reset the SMC a few times. No change. Does anybody has had the same problem ones before and found a solution? I cannot imagine the the SMC sda output which is a simple open-drain has got defect or disconnected from the die anyhow. I would be happy if somebody can help!

many thanks
