MBP 2012 HDD Cable w Bracket

I need a replacement HDD cable and bracket for my 2012 MBP.

It should be new and good quality.

Can someone recommend a reputable merchant to buy from? (I a NOT interested in I-Fix-It, NewEgg, or Amazon because I have had horrible customer service experiences them!)

All of the ones you've listed would have been my only suggestions. Have you talked to Apple about this? I have heard rumours of an unofficial extended warranty for that part from the 2012 13".

Nah, dealing with warranties is too much hassle.

What about the link I provided in my OP?

Is a cable a cable or is it crucial where I get it from?

(I just want to keep my old MBP as a backup, so I don't need gold-plated parts.)

I don't think those parts will be an issue provided you're searching the correct product number, but I guess treat it as money you're willing to lose.
