Hi

so while all us retro 3.5mm headphone users have be saved in 2016's MacBook pro how the hell would you plug in your shiny new expensive LIGHTNING ones into the MBP 2016?

Have apple missed the trick not giving us a female lighting port for future headphones with a lighting connector?

Thanks

Why would they put a lightning connector on a laptop?

Lightning is specifically for their mobile devices.

USB-C is a standard and it includes Thunderbolt 3 which can pretty much turn into any port you want.

u know they got rid of the headphone jack on the iPhone 7s just so they can be water resistance at a cheaper manufacture price right? LOL there is no point to make the 3.5mm a lightening on a mac

Yeah, other phones are cheaper, have a headphone jack and are more water resistant. Get a clue my friend. If you believed that was the reason you're incorrect.
