Noise:

so i bought an apple refurbished macbook pro about a month or so ago - its from the refurbished section on the official apple site.

When i plug my LACIE hard drive in, i get this horrible clicking/popping/crackling noise through the speakers. done everything that apple said to do on the chat, brought it in (of course it didnt make the noise when i brought it in) so obviously they couldnt do anything. I've tried the hard drive on other peoples computers - it doesnt affect them at all.
I have no idea what to do! i can't send the hard drive back because it doesn't affect any one elses computer. However - occasionally the laptop has started to make the noise without the drive plugged in so i don't think that's the problem.

Any tips/suggestions?

Specs of laptop:
MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017),
2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Radeon Pro 555 2048 MB

Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MB
