Hello.
Ive got MBP 13 2020, base 8gen with 16gb ram. When im trying to connect my anker dongle to macbooks thunderbolt sometimes it stops to recognise it. Also when this happens when I try to use the same port for charging it stops to charge the laptop. If i reset SMC all starts to work again, but its quiet annoying as this happens every week or so. What would be the solution for this? Anyone else is experiencing something similar?
Thanks!

I have similar experiences: sometimes it's a non-apple certified usb cable, sometimes something else, but the situation is similar. Certain usb devices are not fully compatible and the mbp stops charging. As soon as I unplug them and unplug-replug the power, the situation normalizes. It is no big deal to me, although I was quite worried at first.

So the problem would be the usb dongle? If i would get the apple one would everything be working as it should?
