The website macserive.com has some interesting products (along with replacement parts for MBPs) what is interesting to me is their price for ram $440 w(for 4 gigs) which is a lot less than Apple's price, and also the fact that they offer a replacement 200 gig 7200 RPM hardrive (thats a lot of hardrive space, $395). If I bought both of these from Macservice that would be only slightly more than just the price of the 4 gigs of RAM from apple...the question is, do they offer quality parts and has anyone had experience with them before?

Thanks

You may or may not know this..but the harddrive in MBP's are not user replacable, without a goodbuy to your warrenty.

Yea a a website like that though replaces them for you...
although I know the manager of the local "computer super center" in my town and they are always really nice too me so I am sure that I can buy the hardrive online and have them replace it for a decent cost (btw they are an authorized mac retailer and service center.

The prices are somewhat higher than market for both RAM and hard drive

4 Gb is US$220 - $249 at the reputable RAM dealers
The Hitachi 200 Gb 7200 RPM is US$309 or less
