i just put in a disk and it wont read it i have checked in finder and it isnt there and ive tried the eject button

MBP 5,3 wont read disk

What was on the disk? And if you're having trouble ejecting it, restart your computer and after the chime, hold down the mouse button until it ejects.
Try opening up Disk Utility in the Utilities folder in the Application folder.
If it show on the left you can click mount button to have it show up.
Or try restarting your mac.
