Hello all,

After years of literally having no problems (hardware-related) with my MBP 5,5 my battery finally kicked the bucket. It was almost double it's normal life expectancy when it came to charge cycles, and not to mention it had made it through an extended OEF deployment, so it was no surprise when my adapter would not charge anymore, giving me the "Battery Is Not Charging" notification in the status bar icon, and eventually the [x] with not battery even being recognized. I ordered a new Apple OEM battery for my MB991LL/A, unwrapped it from the plastic, replaced the battery according to the ifixit.com walkthrough and now I'm here:

Battery Information:
Charge Information:
Charge Remaining (mAh): 0
Fully Charged: No
Charging: No
Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 0
Health Information:
Cycle Count: 0
Condition: Normal
Battery Installed: Yes
Amperage (mA): 0
Voltage (mV): 0

Now, did I just get a f'd battery I should return, or is there a bigger problem with my MBP? I've attempted the SMC reset (no avail), and tested other chargers all showing solid green lights.

Any ideas?
Thank you in advance
