MBP A1260 how much?

Hi, does anyone know how much would be worth a 15 inches early 2008 MBP (model A1260)? My son's mbp logic board died the other day and on ifixit they say that it cost about 400$ to buy a new one. Maybe I could find it elsewhere for a little less but let say 300$ for the board, is this mbp worth that much?
