I first noticed it appeared to be making brief weird sounds. When I shut the lid, it took longer than normal for it to go into sleep mode (approx 30 seconds w/ programs running, but normally it takes about 10 seconds). Whenever, I opened it up, within a few seconds, a louder than normal fan noise happened too.

I then force quit Safari because it wasn't responding. After that, there were no programs running, so I shut the lid to try to get it to sleep again. The apple lit up instead of it going to sleep. I finally tried again and it seems to be doing normally.

Is anything wrong here?

This never hurts to do and usually resolves 90% of the weird issues that the MBPs develop over time.

SMC and PRAM reset. See the above link on how to do this.

Plus you can open terminal and run these commands.

cd ~/Library/Preferences - press enter

Killall Dock - press enter

Those two commands will reload the dock, and fix some broken dock items.

Try all that and you will be surprised.
