For some reason when I put in the Install OSX restore CD into the bay and start up the computer and hold "C", it will wind up and shake like CRAZY. I'm talking really really loud buzzing and vibrating my entire bed. And it was on the loading screen for a while so i just turned it off in case I wreck something.
But in general, keeping a CD in the optical drive will create this really annoying vibration in the ENTIRE laptop that stems from the right side. Its not the harddrive and only happens when I have a cd in the drive. If the cd is loading then its MUCH MUCH worse to the point where its really unbearable to work.
I should be able to take this into an apple store and get the optical drive fixed under warranty right? My refurb 13" MBP did no such thing. I never took a mac in for care so I don't know if there are certain protocols or procedures to follow.
