I'm trying to connect my new MBP to my external monitor (via DVI). Mirroring is on. With my old MB I could just close the lid and then wake up the machine with the external keyboard and mouse. Now I do that, I hear the MBP waking up, but the display stays asleep. What should I do? Thanks in advance.

Try to plug in the powercord and see if that helps =)

Is it a 15", and are you using gfxcardstatus to force integrated?

if so, this is the exact behaviour you will see, it needs to be on dynamic or dedicated for external displays to work.

It is a 13'' (2.3 Ghz core i5) and the power cord is plugged in. I'm quite confused. Any help would be much appreciated.

Problem solved: the bluetooth keyboard just wasn't paired properly. Sorry.
