Saw several threads with very inconclusive results so I figured I'd try the waters again.

I've got a 37" LG TV, VGA connection, and a mid 2010 MBP.

I connect, my laptop screen flashes, i can drag my mouse into the black void of where the LG should be, but still get a "no signal" error on the LG. Tried changing to several resolutions/refresh rates, not much luck yet.

Mine gives issues if I'm already on the input before I plug in plug it in and cycle through your inputs till your back at the correct one

Which ones, specifically? TV's tend to support very few resolution setting. Confirm what your TV supports.

All at 60 Hz
800x 600
1024 x 768
1280x768
1280x960
1280x1024
1344x1008
1400x1050
1600x1200
1920x1080

These were all resolution options given to me by my MBP. It's recognizing it as just a VGA display though, not as an LG TV - are there some drivers missing or something?

The only inputs I can select are the regular cable and the VGA. VGA isn't selectable unless I plug in my computer, so SOMETHING is being recognized there, but even with cycling through, no dice. Thanks though!

Probably less impressive - when I plug in the audio part of this VGA/Audio cable, i can play sound through the TV. Still no video though.
