Hello all, I am very stumped right now with a problem connecting my Samsung SyncMaster 245bw up to my 17in 2011 Mac book Pro. I am in the Philippines for work reasons right now so i don't have access to a real apple store. The apple stores here are called iCenter and witch has no help like i would get in the US.

Anyway to the problem. Every now and then i can get the monitor to show a display and but as soon as i reboot i loose my connection again. I really don't understand why my Dell 2405 in the US works fine but as soon as i connect any samsung monitor in my office up to the Macbook it cant find video.

When i get it to work from time to time im playing with the resolution and screen saver and then it will show. I could spend 2 hours playing around and never get it to work or i could connect it up and boom it works.

Any suggestions would be a help its really driving me nuts. Im starting to think its a a resolution problem but have not been able to change anything but the dimensions. Is there a way to also change it from 60z to see if it fixes my problem.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
