MBP Applications Not Opening (Icons bounce, but don't open)

So I've had my MBP 15in i7 for about 2 months now and I've realized that after having it running for 7 days (just not restarting for 7 days), that when I click on an application (other than safari), it will bounce, then stop bouncing, and never open. Any idea on what's going on? The problem fixes after I reboot, but this is something that shouldnt be happening on my new MBP

That's a strange behaviour, my Macs usually run for 30 days and I don't get that behaviour.

Have you installed anything recently?

Have you tried repairing permissions via Disk utility yet?

How much free HDD capacity do you have?
