There are currently no viruses for Mac OS X in public circulation, only a handful of trojans and other malware, which have to be installed manually via entering the administrator password.
The only anti-virus you need to protect your Mac is education and common sense.

Here's a cool app i found useful... Caffeine

On my MBA i set the energy setting for the screen dim & sleep for better battery performance. Well sometimes when reading off my MBA or waiting for a download or something, i don't want to go into setting and re-set the energy setting so the screen remains on and/or the screen doesn't dim, then going back in setting and re-set everything.

With the App Caffeine... A coffee cup icon installs on the menu bar top right, i click it, and the screen with remain on, when i'm done, i just click it again and my setting are activated again. Comes in Handy.
