So I just bought a MacBook pro. I needed a laptop to replace my intel iMac. Problem is I don't know what to do with my iMac. It is two years old and I don't want to sell it. Any sugestions.

I am in the same dilemma here, my 1st gen intel iMac is replaced by my MBP, but the reselling value is so low that I hesitate to let go the well-looked-after perfectly functioning machining. :(

I'm afraid that with the passage of time, this value will not increase. Sad but true...

Sell it - it's not to become more valuable/expensive/profitable as time goes on, rather, the reverse will apply. If you don't want to sell it, give it to someone; a needy relative - spouse, child, sibling - or a friend, or, failing that, donate it to a school or deserving charity. Meanwhile, enjoy the MBP.
Cheers

Ever since going to Intel, Macs' famous resale value goes straight to toilet...

Sell it if you don't have any use for it.

Some deserving person would love to get a free iMac, I'm sure. Find that person and give it to them.
