MBP Audio problem seems to be fixed after 10.5.3

I received my new 15" MacBook Pro two days ago and was dismayed to find beeps and static before and after playing sounds through my headphones... something that my PowerBook G4 didn't even do! Today I upgraded to 10.5.3 to find that the beeps and clicks are gone... is anyone else experiencing this?

You know what, I haven't noticed it as much either, infact I'm sure I haven't noticed it at all since the update.
