Hey guys,

Just a question here. I did a search and didn't find anything too helpful.

I let my mbp sleep overnight with 100% battery. I wanted to check how much of the battery depletes overnight when it is sleeping without the ac. I had 92% this morning. Is this normal?

Yes this is normal. Even in sleep mode, the battery is being used to maintain what is in memory and PRAM (and flashes the sleep led), so when you wake the mbp, everything is restored as it was before sleep mode.

Yeah that sounds normal, I always assume about 1% per hour of sleep

Thanks guys,

I guess I didn't think that it would deplete so much. I would think like maybe 4% at most or something.

The numbers arent exact, they are measured by an analog voltimeter and translated into watt-hours by imperfect hardware. Dont go trying to compare a few percent here or there. You said you were expecting it to be about 96% and found 92% to be worth staring a thread over? Wow.
