should i ask apple for replacement? i have about a month before my 1 year anniversary

Sorry to hijack, but I am experiencing a similar dilemma.

My MacBook is 2 1/2 years old. Though the Cycle Count is only 104, my Battery Health is a paltry 57%.

I also try to recalibrate my battery and I have the latest battery firmware.

I know my battery isn't as fresh as the OP's, but, given my Cycle Count, isn't this also abnormal?

Thanks!

They replace batteries? Can't believe that... Few years back I had Thinkpad X41 and in a year, I've butchered my battery (from ~6h to 2.5h), but I've been going through some 3 charge/recharge cycles a day ;-)

Yes, I had them replace the one on my Macbook also when I had one. They mailed me the new one first, then I had 2 weeks to return the old one. They put a $129 hold on my card until I sent it back, but I agreed to that. The other option is sending your battery in and waiting for Apple to send you a new one (so you must go without a battery for a while), or going to an Apple store.
