MBP Battery Health?

Greetings! I just received my brand new 15" MBP about three weeks ago. Using iStat Pro I noticed my battery health was listed at 95% with only 4 cycles on it.

Do I have a faulty battery?

most likely not, it's normal to get such readings.

It's fine. It will probably stay and fluctuate in the mid 90s for a lot of its life.

When I first used mine I checked and the battery was at 102% (first day). Two weeks later, it was at 100%, and it's been some month's stuck on 98% now. I wouldn't worry about it.

Remember that the 1yr warranty covers faulty batteries anyway.

Yup, nothing to worry. One day, mine may be 95%, another day 99%. Its the normal thing for it to change like that.

No, it's perfectly normal for your battery health to fluctuate up and down over time. This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:
