Mbp Battery

I was just wondering if anybody has the specs for the battery life for a mbp 17 and and 15 inch. My dad wants to get one but doesnt really know which one to get. Just asking which one has the better battery life and for how long to they last?

i'd imagine the 17" has a longer life because it's bigger, but it can't be by much since it's also powering a more powerful machine.

my 15" MBP (CD - sorry i don't have info on a C2D) lasts around 3 hours but i can get it up to 4 if i'm only typing or listening to music with Airport and BT turned off and the screen brightness turned down.

the MacBooks have better battery life - perhaps he should consider getting a MB and an external display if that'll suit his needs.

According to Apple's website, the 15" lasts about 5 hours (60 watt hours), and the 17" lasts about 5.5 hours (68 watt hours)
