Ok I'm sitting in the Coffie shop with a freaind of mine and next thing I know he is looking at my Itunes files from his computer, how the heck is he doing it ? Please give me exact directions on how to set up my computer from this happening again, thanks

Either:
A. Go into iTunes and go to preferences, sharing, don't share my library

or

B. Go into System Preferences, Sharing, Turn Everything Off (i.e. Uncheck)

iTunes has a sharing setting in its preferences that lets other users on the same network with iTunes to view and play those files. He can't do anything else but maybe copy them with a third party application.

Beyond that, your sharing settings in the system preferences may be turned on, in which case if he knows your login anme and password he can access your files.

I just want to make sure that know one can acsess any thing on my computer again ? Sitting there yesturday in the Coffie shop I could not believe how many computers I could see in my shared folder and no I did not look at there computer.

If you don't want anyone to see anything on your computer:

1. do what everyone said and turn off sharing in itunes
2. go to system preferences -> sharing and uncheck everything there
3. go to system preferences -> security -> firewall and make it block incoming services
