I just bought a 17" MBP from the refurb store.

How do you find out the birth date/manufacture date of this MBP?

Just would like to know if its three months old, or waay older, being a refurb and all. I never thought my "older" MBP would look old. It looks Ancient compared to my new one.

BTW its a 2.66G unibody. - IT IS AMAZING compared to my older 15" MBP. What a work of art! Honestly, I CANT stop looking at it. WOW!

Thanks! W

You can go to https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do and enter your serial number and country. It will tell you the day the warranty started for your particular Mac. Not sure if that will be the exact date of manufacture though.

Thanks!
That link showed me pretty much the date Apple sold me the refurb (6/09, with an expiration date of 6/9/2012 - I bought Apple care).

It is a FB604LL

Im wondering the literal build date (roughly) is.

Thanks again!!
W

If you enter the serial into this program, it will show you the week of production, most of the time anyway. There is also a website, that does that, but I'm too lazy to use search machines right now.

Thanks! I was weary of downloading stuff on a new comp.
But anyway.....That site said:

5/18/09 - 5/24/09 Is that possible for a newly purchased refurb?????

W O W !! I love the fact that I bought a refurb more than EVER ........NOW.

THANKS Spinners
