Now and then again I notice that bluetooth icon in the upper right hand of the Menu Bar changes to the icon with a little squigly line over it.

I move my mouse over the icon and it displays in a drop out bar that "Bluetooth: Not Available"

Anyone know what rhyme or reason this happens?

Sounds like a software problem recognizing the Bluetooth module, or perhaps (if it is still on a rise card) it is loose. I have a similar problem with the BT dongle on my PowerBook, sometimes OS X just freaks out regarding it, and I can't use it until a restart, plus that is the logo when I don't have the dongle attached.
