MBP Boot Failure

Recently dropped my MBP and now it won't boot. It sounded like the disk was failing to mount and the initial screen was blank. Now the screen blinks a file folder w a question mark inside. Please advise

When you dropped it the hard drive crashed. Most likely due to the needle coming into contact with the platters.

you'll probably need a new HDD, and a usb stick to install mavericks.
