MBP + Bootcamp + WinXP = Crappy Wifi?

I have windows xp sp3 running via bootcamp on my mbp (2.4ghz intel) and the wifi signal is extremely horrible. The router is in another room, not even 20 feet away. On OSX, the wifi singal is perfect and at 100%. But as soon as I log into windows, the wifi signal drops insanely. I use xp for gaming online, so I must have a good signal for gaming purposes..

Does anyone else have this issue?
