Hi guys and girls.

Lately I've noticed something strange happening with my MBP. Several times it woke up from sleep (with lid closed) at about 2AM. I only noticed it when I had gone to bed not long ago, so was not sleeping firmly. Twice, it even booted up at about that time when I had shut it down before.

I'm starting to get worried about something being installed without my knowledge because I did not schedule anything like that. Frankly, I would not even know how to let my MBP boot at a specified time.

Do you know what could be causing this? Got a fully updated Leopard.

PS: It seems a bit ironic to me: Windows PCs shut down without you wanting it, Macs (or at least mine) boot up without me wanting it ;)

Yesterday evening I shut it down again and guess what, it booted up at *exactly* 2AM. This is really weird.

I would really appreciate being able to sleep a night through, without having to get up to shut my Mac down again..

Thanks for any suggestions.

What Apps Have You?

Could be an application you installed.. What Apps are you running ?

Do you have any syncing software installed ? External drives ? What about time machine ? Are you running time machine at all?

Without this info, we are playing a guessing game.
