MBP buyers guide????

When looking for a pre-owned MBP what year/models should I start at? I was told the earlier MBPs had a video card issue????

If this is true, what years were those?

The Nvidia 8600GT has a production defect. Those are 2007/2008 machines, so very old anyways.

There is no guide for buying used MBPs here. But if you gives us some information about your budget and what you would like to use your MBP for, I'm sure people will help.

Anywhere from $700-900.

yes, this is pretty low. This is for my wife who needs it for data entry on her job's website. For reasons I don't know, she can do things on that website with a Mac that she cannot on a PC with safari and firefox. Right now she hogs my mini because it saves her so much time over her PC laptop.

She is looking for a 13"
