MBP Buying Advice

I'm planning on buying a 17" MBP. I've heard there will be a minor update very soon. Anyone have any idea or guess when there will be a major update? I want to buy one after the next major update.

on topic you can never be sure, if you need one now buy it, if you dont need one now wait till like January or around that time

There will be a bump, but there won't be a "major overhaul," especially because tradition tells us the 15" gets updated first and then the 17". But January/February is the next time it seems like it would get updated.
