Well Leaving it on all the time downloads/uploads around 50 Degree heat & i mean all the time , is it safe ?

thx but i meant is it safe to let it on 24/7 ??

Yeah thats no problem. Plus, your display will sleep and really when you are sleeping, your MBP will be less than 50C. Just close other programs and let your downloads run. Lower all your settings and it will be fine. I leave mine on all the time when I am downloading videos/music. But make sure that you also let your computer sleep(shut down) for a little to clear the cache and all that.

If you let it sleep, or even shutdown, your computer is doing nothing but sitting there. Leave the computer on. I only restart when an update requires it or if my RAM Page Outs gets too high. My MBP is only shutdown when on long trips (2+ hours). My temps stay around 55C and have had no problems in over 2 years.
