I have a SR Macbook Pro non-unibody and I couldn't take the unbearably high temperatures and I replaced the stock thermal grease with some AS. The replacement went great and the computer is running MUCH cooler but now the computer continues to freeze at random times. Does anyone know what I did wrong? Did I not add enough thermal grease? Any advice would be great.

Thanks

SG

I also have an SR MBP and I did the same thing a few weeks ago, with the same results that you are reporting. Now I can at least play WoW without setting my MBP in front of an A/C, which is literally what I had to do to play WoW without the computer shutting off. I've just learned to live with the random shut downs, which at least now, are much less frequent. I'll be upgrading when Sandy Bridge comes out though. Download smcfancontrol if you haven't already. You can run the fans at whatever speed you want.
