MBP controlling iTunes on iMac?

question. im looking at buying the base model 13" MBP for school.

i live at home and have a 20" iMac in my room (not that where its located in my house is relevant) with a very nice stereo setup.

now if i were laying in my bed on my MBP, (i know i can share my library on my LAN), but can i control it from the MBP while it plays on the stereo attached to the iMac without buying an Airport Express?

i want to be able to use my existing stereo when im in my room and use my MBP speakers when im say outside or in a different room.

kinda like the Remote program for the iPod Touch.

i only ask because i have 60gb+ of music on my iMac and dont feel the need to transfer it onto the MBP since the only time i listen to music is when im at home.

did i lose anyone? lol

one thing you could do is share your screen. In the prefence panel, go to share and share your screen.
