MBP core duo shuts down at 60% battery

Not sure why it is doing this.
Is it time to buy a new battery or is there something to reset?

I reset the pram + nvram and gonna do the calibration of the battery tonight to see if the battery is still ok.

Do you got applecare? My MBP Core Duo did the same thing. It would shut down in 20 mins without warning. Apple said I had a defective Battery and they replaced it under Applecare. Call them. Your Battery is Defective.

I'm having the exact same problem, though it doesn't always shut down at the same battery charge - it does do it in the middle charged range, like 40-70% charge. Got an appointment with the genius bar tomorrow, hope to get a replacement battery.
