I have read dozens of threads from this forum and others and have yet to find the answer to my problem.

The AirPort on my MacBook Pro (still have Mac OS X 10.4.11) works on college campus, free WiFi at coffee shops and in hotels, but it does not work at my parents house or my brothers house. I put in the password and it searches for the PPPoE for a while and then comes back saying "Could not find PPPoE". I am limited in my computer knowledge so basic language is appreciated.

The router at my parents (the one I use most) is a:
Wireless - G 2.4 GHz
Broadband Router 802.11g
with Speed Booster
LINKSYS

The Mac Address or Base Station ID is correct in AirPort except for the very last letter. AirPort reads a 'D', but the router's sticker has on it that is should be a 'B'. I don't know if that makes a difference or not, but since AirPort does it automatically I don't see how to go in and fix that anyways.

Any suggestions or ideas about what is going on?

Just wanted to make sure this stays towards the top of the thread so that maybe someone can help me...
