Hello,
I have a 15" mbp (about 3yo now) that I'm trying to hook up to a 10yo Sony Trinitron. The TV is model#KV-32S42 if that matters.

I bought the Apple dvi to video adapter and an s-video & 3.5mm stereo audio to 3 rca adapter cable. I can get the picture on the tv, but the resolution was all sorts of messed up. I went into "Displays" in System Preferences and tried every setting that was not greyed out, and found one that is probably the least distorted (but not perfect) except the text and picture is still pretty fuzzy.

Is there anything I can do to make the picture better? I looked in the tv's user manual and it listed the tv's screen dimensions as 791x707 @ 120v, 60Hz. I didn't know if there was some way I could customize the mbp's display output.

Thanks!
