my mbp running lion does not bootup caused by many drops off my bed. i did a SD backup on my external thankfully. my question is i do not want to boot from the external itself but i want to put my backup onto the mbp's HD so i can use it like a normanl laptop without having to be connected to the external. is this possible if so... what are the steps or a thread i can be referred to. thanks in advance

"my mbp running lion does not bootup caused by many drops off my bed."

After "many drops", it's quite possible that... well..... something inside is loose or broken.

You may need to open it and check the connecting cable from the hard drive to the motherboard.

If the hard drive is a platter-based drive, the drops may have damaged it.

You may need to replace the internal drive...
