mbp doesn't sleep immediately when closed

hey guys, whenever i close the lid of my mbp, it used to sleep immediately. However, after upgrading from SL to lion it takes a good 10-15secs before it sleeps. i've tried searching online for help but to no avail. does anyone know whats going on? any advice is appreciated. thanks in advance!

It's always taken mine 10-15 seconds to go to sleep... it always goes to sleep eventually though so i just throw it in my bag and it gets there eventually.

it takes time to pause all processes and the HD itself so yes thats normal...

but... it used to fall asleep right away even when i was playing music on iTunes.. like song stops playing right away!

Ive noticed this as well. My MBP used to sleep within 2 seconds on SL, but with Lion it takes about 10-15 seconds. A bit of an inconvenience.
